Why We Built This Site
Kentucky provides several public access routes, but each system answers a different question. The Whitley Circuit Court Clerk maintains District and Circuit case files at the Judicial Center in Williamsburg. Arrest narratives remain with the sheriff, Corbin Police, Williamsburg Police, or KSP, depending on who created them. The Kentucky Department of Corrections publishes state custody and supervision details through KOOL, while KSP maintains both the central criminal-history repository and the statewide registry. We arrange those official contacts, portals, known fees, and request steps by record type.
What You Will Find Here
- Agency contacts: the Whitley clerk lines, county channels, and Kentucky offices that maintain each kind of record
- Official check routes: the distinction among AOC FastCheck, KSP checks, and fingerprint-based self-review
- Record explanations: how Whitley County court, arrest, booking, corrections, and registry records differ
- Expungement direction: where Kentucky certification and eligible Whitley County petitions begin
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any Kentucky court, sheriff's office, police department, or state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:
- We cannot issue certified court documents, criminal histories, or registry records
- We cannot submit a Kentucky Open Records Act request or expungement filing for a reader
- We cannot interpret a charge, warrant, disposition, or eligibility rule as legal advice
- We cannot retrieve an official record or conduct an official background check
- We cannot promise that an agency's address, fee, hours, or procedure has not changed
Only the office that maintains a record, such as the Whitley Circuit Court Clerk or Kentucky State Police, can issue its official or certified copy.
Search Partners
Outside providers power search boxes placed on some pages. They operate their own services, control their prices, and determine the information shown in their results. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee for this site. That support helps fund public access to the reference material, but it does not give us control over a partner's records, matching, or billing.
